It’s Polar Week, March 18-24–time to connect, learn and educate about the polar regions. I’m featuring an activity on two days hosted by APECS, The Association of Polar Early Career Scientists. They have planned “a series of activities for the March Equinox of 2012. The Equinoxes are the only time when everywhere on earth the day length is 12 hours, a perfect opportunity to celebrate the poles on a global scale!”
Link with researchers who are working in the Arctic and Antarctic through live “Connecting the Poles” webinar events.Tuesday March 20th (1800 GMT) and Thursday March 22nd (1300GMT). In collaboration with ARCUS and PolarTREC, APECS is hosting two webinars connecting teachers, students, educators and communicators with polar researchers in the Arctic and the Antarctic.
